The Moonlight Bike Ride is sponsored by the York County Office of Emergency Management, York County Public Safety Communications, and the York Rescue Squad.

The 13th annual bike ride is a fun-filled family event for all ages that winds through the streets of beautiful, historic downtown York beginning at 8:30 PM, Friday, August 26. 

There is no fee to participate and everyone is invited to ride.  Interested riders should meet at the Agricultural Building parking lot on South Congress Street at 8 p.m. 

The York Rescue Squad serves individually-wrapped ice cream treats at the end of the ride.

Cotton Howell of the York County Office of Emergency Management said the Moonlight Bike Ride has become a popular event over the years.  “This is a leisurely bike ride through York and we have never been rained out,” Howell said.
