Children's Activities

Summerfest Children's Activities are sponsored by AJAX Rolled Ring & Machine, AT&T, Family Trust Federal Credit Union and Gala Affairs.  Activities are held on the lawn of The Greater York Chamber of Commerce, 23 East Liberty Street, from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM.

                                                                           

Summerfest Children's Activities expand with a cool Water Walking adventure that allows kids to roll, flip, spin and crawl on water without getting wet in a giant, inflatable hamster ball.

 

The Summerfest Coloring Contest, sponsored by Family Trust Federal Credit Union, returns in the Summerfest Tabloid included in the Enquirer-Herald and in The Herald the week of Summerfest.  Contest forms are also available during Summerfest, and children can take their time to color their best at the shaded tables set up just for them.

 

Also returning is the Little Blue Choo Choo that entertains parents and children alike with a great little loop of a ride; the 4H Petting Zoo with sweet-faced animals beneath the shade of the old pecan trees; Face Painting by Lisa; students from Floyd D. Johnson Technology Center, and the Junior Lego Robotic Team will host a robotics demonstration; and if the kids are tired and hot, they can shoot baskets to cool down with the free Water Basketball game.
